Meet Murta

From as far back as I can remember, I’ve always seen the world a little differently. Growing up in Hawaii, I was surrounded by beauty everywhere I looked — the colors of the ocean at sunset, the movement of the waves, the textures of the mountains, the light hitting the palms at just the right angle. Even as a kid, I paid attention to details that most people walked right past. Art wasn’t something I decided to do later in life… it was always part of how I experienced the world.

Over the years, life took me down different paths. I spent years working in sales and building my landscaping business, learning how important hard work, consistency, and quality really are. Whether I was designing outdoor spaces, helping customers, or creating something with my hands, I realized I was still using that same artistic eye I had as a kid. I’ve always believed that the smallest details matter, and that passion naturally found its way into everything I touched.

Art became my way of bringing all of those experiences together. My work is inspired by the places, emotions, and moments that stay with us long after we leave them behind. A sunset over the water. The energy of the islands. The feeling of peace, nostalgia, freedom, or home. I want my art to make people feel something real when they see it hanging on their wall.

Every piece I create is personal to me. I pour my passion, attention to detail, and appreciation for beauty into every canvas, print, and commission. I’m grateful for every person who supports my work because you’re not just buying art — you’re becoming part of my story and helping me continue sharing a piece of myself with the world.
